Planned withdrawls
Apart from the
plans to withdraw the 1501,s by the end of 2003 there are no plans to withdraw
any other locos between now and 2005.
Barreiro
Big changes
here from the timetable change, virtually all commuter trains are DMUs
with the exception of a few peak hour services, there are no longer any
booked 1401s on the commuters to Setubal, the only booked working is the
16.35 to Funcheira and the 05.50 Funcheira to Barreiro, this working is
also covered in the 1501 diagrams which after viewing the depot log seems
to be the preferred power.
Porto
With the transfer
of some DMUs to Barreiro the line along the Douro is seeing more hauled
services, a new timetable has been released between Porto Sao Bento and
Marco de Canavesses and show a vastly improved service between the two
points. Of interest also is the lack of any DMU turns beyond Regua, everything
to Tua and Pocinho is now hauled. The service between Porto and Vigo has
been reduced due to
RENFE not accepting
the refurbished UTD401 class units which are now classified UTD451, the
problem appears to be with the UIC numbers.
Class 1401
As previously
mentioned there has been a small increase in work for the Porto allocated
1401s around Porto, in action between 28/9 and 30/9 where the following,
1401, 1402, 1405, 1406, 1408, 1410, 1411, 1412, 1413, 1414, 1417, 1424,
1440, 1441, 1442, 1447, 1448, 1455, 1464, 1466.
Also noted on 29/9 was 1444 which worked IR803 13.10 Lisboa Santa Apolonia to Figueira Do Foz which caused quite a stir in the UTML HQ as UVIR hadnt told them about using it.
Class 1501
Fairly good
news for the class which will see use until the year 2003.
